Venia GymSports

Venia GymSports is a South Australian Gymnastics Club striving to provide the very highest quality gymnastics training program, with professional coaches working in a positive and safe environment for South Australian Gymnasts.

Venia GymSports provides Rhythmic Gymnastics classes for girls aged 3 upward.  The GymSports club also hosts the only German Wheel Team in South Australia and 2007 saw the addition of Cheerleading to our list of activities. Cheer will not be offered in 2011 while the Head Coach is on Maternity Leave. 

Through their involvement in the program, we encourage the gymnasts at Venia GymSports to build life skills such as time management, productive work ethics, an ability to set and achieve goals, self discipline, team work and acceptance of responsibility for their own actions and attitudes. 

Venia GymSports is the home of Gymnastics SA's Year 2007 & 2008 Elite and Levels Gymnasts & 2009 & 2010 Elite Gymnast of the Year .

Venia GymSports is proud to announce our 'Star Three' rating in the Gymnastics Australia Club 10 program. 

This is the highest ranking of any South Australian Rhythmic Gymnastics Club and shows our dedication to providing our members with the highest quality program that we can.

2011 is an exciting year - with State Championships, National Championships in Perth and overseas travel again - the team at Venia will continue to set the standard in South Australia in RG & German Wheel!

**NEWS FLASH*

Thank you to all our members, parents and friends who have supported Venia's fundraising. Without your help we would not be able to be as successful as we are.

Congratulations to Hannah & Anna  who have been selected in the Australian team to travel to New Zealand at the end of July. Also congratulations to Head Coach Kate Johnson who has been selected as a coach for the Australian Team.

The  Harlequin Spirals Wheel Team have returned from the 14th World Gymnaestrada held in July 2011 in Lausanne, Switzerland. With over 20,000 other participants they performed their routines in the 8 Gymnastics Halls and were a part of the Anglophone Gala night that used the ABBA theme from our 2009 Cirque show!! England & South Africa amongst others were part of the show. They also were part of the Closing Ceremony along with supporters, Roger, Sue & Deb.

CIRQUE DE GYMNASTIQUE NATIONAL AWARD 2010

Gymnastics SA have been awarded the Gymnastics Australia General Gymnastics award for the Fringe shows "Cirque de Gymnastique". Venia GymSports gymnasts & the Harlequin Spirals German Wheel Team have been involved in all 4 shows since 2008. Well done to all the participants and to the Venia volunteers who helped behind the scenes at every show over the last 4 years to help make the show a success. 

Gym For All Participation Award
